This week has been pretty different compared to the previous ones. Some things have been pretty much the same but a lot of new as well.
The first thing I remember right now is the lesson where we were supposed tell a joke to a partner after hearing it once. We had to maintain the basic idea of the joke as well as possible and the certain punch line as well. It was surprisingly difficult. I haven't heard or told jokes in English that much, so it was even harder when I wasn't familiar with the joke before hearing it.
Then we had this quiz we were divided in three teams for. The questions were about political facts. Some of the answers I knew beforehand but most of the questions were really difficult. Some of them didn't even have any kinds of answer options. But I really learned a bunch of new things at least. For example, I had no idea that The United States don't have a prime minister or that the "D.C." of Washington, D.C. stands for the "District of Columbia".
On Friday we were divided into three groups again. We were supposed to act out some kind of political situation. Our group pretended to be a British royal family talking about the futures of the prince and princess. The family was worried about the princess who wanted to move to the USA with her boyfriend and be a professional dancer. The preparation of this act was pretty fun, coming up with different ideas for the royal family's conversation.
